the story behind the art: This piece was created at the same time as my "Klimt" piece and with the exact same color palette. Both pieces have the same subject matter and similar lines. However, they turned out so differently.
Each time I look at this painting, I'm reminded of the summer of 2004. We were in France laughing, running, and tossing around a football. I fell in love with red poppies on the trip and came home snorting when I laugh. And, my French accent improved.
