the story behind the art: I love Gustav Klimt's piece "The Kiss" and have a print of it hanging in my dining room. After a month or two of working from home during Covid, I decided to freshen up my home with new art and finally create a gallery wall. I purchased art supplies and decided to create a complimentary art piece to hang near my Klimt piece.

The palette of the painting draws from "The Kiss," and I chose to focus on the hill depicted in Klimt's painting as the focus of my own.
